Mrs M. Elisabetta Donadio creations were inspired by prehistoric iconography and primordial forms of art which are one of her greatest passions. The round forms of her creations have a very specific meaning. The universal language of simple shapes--circles, spheres and all rounded shapes to designate what goes beyond leaving people out of their imagination: the earth, sun, cosmic, roundness, God…They recall what at an unconscious level is, the maternal and intimate relationship among us. Even today, anything that has a round shape attracts us inexplicably more than what is angular, drawing us intimately and exerting upon us an enormous evocative power.
The meaning of the word Earth is included in our Brand Name to indicate not only the type of products used in the beginning of Raku Ceramics (clay) but also the Earth from which everything originates and to which everything returns, symbology which presents naturalistic prehistoric art.
The brand Jewels from Earth was founded in the early 2000’s, with the extremes of the Raku technique transforming small basics of ceramic items in jewelry to be worn and after that when the Company Damiani noticed the products, they decided to market them under the Brand Alfieri & St. John. With the evolution tastes of the brand Jewels from Earth it has adapted to the market by combining Raku, using precious stones and semiprecious stones, pearls and different creative materials that Mrs M. Elisabetta Donadio finds in the best markets in the world.
Mrs M. Elisabetta Donadio, develops her imagination, using her capacity as an element of connection between the various components, 925 Silver, gold or inexpensive metals in the most imaginative combinations with the collaboration of experienced Valencian goldsmiths.
The knowledge gained in the world of art also continues with a glimpse of a new world, that of a Jewelry Design. The jewels from the Earth are unique pieces made by hand, dressing the contemporary woman now tired of traditional jewelry. All creations are the result of extensive research into deep sophisticated techniques and rare raw materials. Silver, 24 carat gold plated or rhodium, bridal baroque pearls, precious stones and semi-precious ones, by helping to enhance its precious characteristics and to merge them together, creating a unique jewel as a work of art.
